Track applications and follow-ups
Keep application stages, submitted text, and personal follow-up tasks together.
Open Career Vault → Applications or select Track applications from Opportunities. This is your private list of roles and clients you are pursuing.
Add an application
- Select New Application.
- Enter the client/company and role. Add the job URL, platform, and private notes.
- Choose Saved, Applied, Interview, Offer, Won, or Closed.
- Optionally select an application kit and enter application and follow-up dates.
- Select Save Application.
A job URL must start with HTTPS. You can track a role without a kit. Update a stage directly on its card or use Edit for the other details. Search by role, client, platform, or notes, filter by stage, or select Follow-ups to see dated follow-ups in order. Overdue dates are marked; Won and Closed are excluded from that follow-up view.
What I sent
When an application with a kit first reaches Applied, Interview, Offer, or Won, VA To-Do captures the kit's personalized text, links, and selected asset names. Open What I sent to review that copy later. Editing or deleting a kit or source template does not rewrite this record.
This is a text record, not an archive of uploaded file versions. Keep the ZIP you actually sent if you need the original binary files. Recording an application does not send email, submit a form, or message a client.
Make a follow-up task
Save a follow-up date, then select Add follow-up task. VA To-Do creates a personal Inbox task, due at 9:00 AM in your browser's local time zone on that date, and links it back to the application. Follow-up task opens it in Inbox. Repeated requests reuse the same task.
These tasks follow your normal task limits. If Free has reached its limit, complete existing tasks or change your plan before creating another. The application itself stays saved.
Editing the application's follow-up date does not reschedule a task you already created. Open the task to adjust its due date or mark it complete. Deleting an application leaves the task in Inbox; deleting the task allows you to create a new one from the application after refreshing the list.
